We hope everyone is doing well this Labor Day weekend. We do celebrate the meaningful work that God has provided each of us. We are especially grateful for our Kingdom of God work and for the Kingdom Ambassadors who carry the work out (that’s you!). It is truly a joy to labor for our Lord. This weekend, we will look forward to an exciting sermon challenge that will wrap up our series on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. You won’t want to miss the finale to this great sermon preached by our Lord and Savior. Also, this will be our last worship service that begins at 10:35 am as next week (Sept. 10), we will be moving to a 10:03 start time. Please set a reminder on your phone!

This Sunday, in addition to concluding our Sermon on the Mount preaching series, we will re-institute an old Fellowship tradition called “Giving Sunday.” This will occur the first Sunday of each month and will be a time of focusing on giving during our Corporate Worship Gathering. This Sunday, we will pass an offering basket for disaster relief for the hurricane victims. The money will be given to our very own Red River Baptist Association who currently have a disaster relief feeding station with showers now in the Houston, Texas area. It is certainly a worthy cause and a great need. If you would like to participate, please bring an offering that you can place in the basket on Sunday.

And one more thing. Remember that our K-groups (small groups that meet in homes) will start on Sunday evening September 10. So, if you have not signed up for one and are ready to make the commitment, please fill out a Communication Card at church or on the website. We have K-groups that meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 and one that meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30. Childcare is provided at the church on Sunday evenings only.
